Cuba Holidays.

February 14th, 2010

At this point you are probably totally certain that Cuba is the place that you want to visit for your next long hold destination but you probably could do with some direction on the actual booking process. I know this could sound a bit insignificant but you should know few important things so you can get the best out of your Cuba Holidays.

The truth is that this Caribbean island is becoming ever more popular every year and this creates a problem for some travel agents . Cuba is definitely not a last minute destination , in particular if you are travelling in the high season.

The peak or high season in Cuba falls within the months of July and August, the Easter period, Christmas and New year’s eve . November, December, January, February and March are awfully well-liked months particularly for travellers from Europe in search of a warm country to avoid few days of miserable weather.

Quite often I get customers asking me to to put together a holiday for them in these particular months , and every so often the phone call comes to close to the date of travel. I can not tell you how frustrating this situation is . For one simple thing , I just can not recommend anything worth it because all the popular areas and best hotels are fully booked, leaving me with the only answer I can give . “I am very sorry but at this point there are no hotels available in the areas that you are attracted to”

If you are looking to stay in big resorts then there is not much to worry about. The problem arises when customers want to combine in a package locations like Havana, Viales Valley, Las Terrazas, Cienfuegos, Trinidad and or Santiago de Cuba. Areas like these with the exception of Havana are very limited when it comes to hotel availabilities.

If what you want is to organise a tailor made Cuba holiday in a demanded season my suggestion to you is to call at least 4 months prior to departure in order to secure not only the rooms in your preferred hotels but also the best deal for your fight tickets. If you regrettably did not come across this piece of writing before and are thinking about a multi centre holiday to Cuba, chances are something will be found for you but certainly the odds of getting the best hotels are not bright

In the case of low season months is very easy to find availabilities and good deals in terms of price and it really does not matter much when you call. Even so we feel very confident to put together the kind of itinerary that will fulfil your holidays

I truly hope you have found this article a useful resource and sincerely wish you a very pleasant stay in Cuba.

The International Airport Security Checkpoints

February 11th, 2010

Are you planning on attending a business meeting or taking a pass out of the country? If so, you will need to book a seat on an international flight. Have you ever been on an international flight before? If not, there are a number of factors that you should first consider, such as the international air travel rules. In fact, it is not only recommended that you do, it is required that you do. Not knowing all of the international air travel rules could land you in a boatload of trouble.

While there are in-flight travel rules that you must abide by, there are also other rules. These other rules are ones that apply in all airports, including international airports. Since you will arrive at the airport first, before actually boarding your airplane, it is advised that you first familiarize yourself with these common air travel rules.

As previously mentioned, there are a number of airfield rules that exist in all airports, regardless of whether those airports are international airports or domestic airports. These rules commonly include a list of prohibited items, the screening of all baggage, the removal of your shoes, and the screening of passengers. In addition to these airfield travel rules, which can be found in almost all airports in the United States, there are some air travel rules that only apply to international airports.

The number one rule that you must stay by at an international airfield is identifying who you are. Since airline officials and airfield security cannot guarantee that you are who you claim to be, you will need to show proof of identification. Depending on where you are traveling to, this finding may need to be more than a simple government issued finding card or driver?s license. In fact, you may also need to supply your birth certificate, a passport, a visa, or a certificate of citizenship. For additional information on which proofs of finding are required, you are advised to contact the international airfield or airline that you will be using.

When boarding your airplane, you are advised to do it in a calm, but timely matter. As soon as your airplane is in the air, you need to follow all instructions given by the pilot or flight attendants. This includes staying in your seat until it is safe to get up. In the event that you refuse to cooperate with the airline staff, you may be putting yourself and other passengers in danger.

While it is important to understand all international air travel rules, there are many travelers who are unsure why those rules are so important. They are important not only for your safety and well being, but for the safety and well being of others. Although it may seem ridiculous at the time, but if you refuse to stay in your seat or you are caught arguing with airport security, you will find that you are automatically labeled a terror suspect. This is largely due in part to the fear of another terrorist attack. Once this happens it is often difficult or impossible to go back to normal.

In the event that you violate international airfield security rules, intentionally or not, it is likely that you will be pulled aside. Depending of the rule that you violated, you may only receive a warning, but you could also receive much more. Should you be tagged as a suspicious traveler, you may be detained by airfield security or local authorities for an undetermined amount of time. The same can be said for international air travel rule violations in the air. Once your airplane is healthy to land, often at the nearest acquirable airport, you will be held for questioning.

What will happen after questioning will all depend on your actions and the preferences of local authorities or airport security. Since you can never guarantee the outcome of your actions, it is important that you stay on your best behavior when at an international airport or aboard an international flight.

Find A Friend Or Family Member To Drop You Off At The Airport

February 4th, 2010

Do you live in or around the Syracuse, New York area? Even if you do not live close to the city of Syracuse, there is still a good chance that you have heard of the Syracuse Hancock International Airport before. In fact, if you live somewhere in Upstate New York, there is a good chance that you have used the airfield or will need to in the future. For those reasons, it may be a good intent to famialrize yourself with the airfield as a whole, especially if you plan on taking an international flight. Doing so will help to ensure that your international travel is all that you expected it to be.

Perhaps, the most important thing to learn about the Syracuse Hancock International Airport is the airlines that service the airport. As with most other airports, the Syracuse airfield only has a limited number of airlines that offer travelers service. Just a few of those airlines include American Eagle, Continental, ComAir-Delta Airlines, JetBule, Northwest Airlines, United Express, Allegheny Airlines, Mesa Airlines, Shuttle America, and US Airways. By contacting the Syracuse International Airport, you should be healthy to obtain a full list of airlines that offer service to travelers in or around the area.

Before arriving at the airport, you will not only need to ensure that you have all of the proper finding documents, the ones needed for international flights, but you will also need to examine how you will get to the airport. If you are unable to find a friend or family member to drop you off at the airport, you will want to examine local taxi or bus companies. In the event that you will be driving yourself, you will need to famialrize yourself with the parking. Since you will be flying internationally, you will need to park in one of the airport?s long-term parking facilities.

To protect your vehicle from the unpredictable New York weather, you may want to park in the parking garage. However, if money is a factor, you will want to make use of their outdoor, economy parking lots.

The airfield security checkpoints at the Syracuse International Airport are like all other airports. The only difference that you may find is that the Syracuse airfield does not necessarily have separate terminals for international and domestic flights. Although not all international airports do, a large number of them are making the decision to separate the two. Since you will be going through security checkpoints with all other flyers, even those on domestic flights, you will find that the security checks are all the same. Therefore, it will mostly be up to you to ensure that you are not bringing aboard an item that is illegal in another country, but allowed in the Untied States.

Although the Syracuse Hancock International Airport is small in size, when compared to most other international airports, the airport still has a lot to offer travelers. Whether you are looking to buy last minute entertainment items for your flight or have a small snack before you board your plane, you can easily do so at some of the restaurants and retail stops that can be found by most airport security checkpoints. Even though you may not have hundreds of airport shops or restaurants to choose from, you will find that the ones that are available have everything that you could want or need. If you would like more information on the Syracuse Hancock International Airport, you are advised to visit the airport?s online website.

Visit Cuba On A Small Group Cuba Tours

January 28th, 2010

If you are like the majority of the people, you do not know very much at all about the small country of Cuba. Recently the United States lifted the travel ban to Cuba for the first time in many years. Now Americans have the opportunity to visit Cuba on a small group Cuba holidays.

These special tours are a great way to see Cuba as it really is. There is free time scheduled for the traveler to see things and go places that they are interested in. There are, also, optional activities at local prices that the tour guide can schedule for those who want to participate.

One of the biggest complaints of people who go on tours is that they do not have the opportunity to interact with the local people. The small group tours in Cuba are not that way. You will have a local Cuban tour guide, and most of your accommodations will be in the homes of Cuban families.

These tours are not luxurious, but everything is clean and comfortable. You won’t just have the opportunity to meet local Cubans, you will have the opportunity to really get to know your tour companions since the groups are small.

An example of a small group tour is the eight day Western Cuba Tour. The group size will be between two and twelve with the average size being seven. The arrival destination is the city of Havana. There are no activities planned for the first day so you can use the time to visit the city on your own.

You will visit two other places on this tour where you will have the opportunity to hike, explore caves, go bicycling, snorkel off one of Cuba’s best beaches and go horseback riding. You will be able to see Cuban wildlife as you travel. Every night will be spent in the home of a Cuban family. Day eight is similar to the first day. You may leave Cuba at whatever time is convenient for you.

These tours are a great way to relax and enjoy a visit to Cuba. Because the groups are small, you will make some lifelong friends as you travel together. Small group Cuba tours are an intriguing way to see Cuba as it is.

Cheap Cuba Holidays

December 22nd, 2009

In this article you will find some tips on how to go about finding cheap Cuba Holidays. Cuba has become a very expensive destination in last few years but there are ways around to find a cheap alternative.

If you want to get to know Cuba by travelling from one location to the next is going to be very expensive if you use taxis. Taxi transfers is what most of the tour operators selling tailor made itineraries will use on packages quoted.

My advice in this regard if you want to safe hundreds is to use VIAZUL Bus Company. Viazul has terminal in most of the Cuban provinces and the tickets are really cheap compared to taxi drives.

For the sake of comparing let’s take for instance a taxi transfer from Havana to Trinidad. This is a common combination that most tailor made tour operators use on their packages. A taxi from Havana to Trinidad costs around 150 GBP or 200 CUC and a ticket with Viazul cost just 25 CUC.

Just imagine how much money you could be safe if you were to visit places like Havana, Vi?ales Valley, Cienfuegos, Santa Clara or Trinidad. Very easily the amount of money safe could be around 800 CUC if instead of taking taxis you use VIAZUL terminals.

The coaches are very comfortable and come in different sizes. They are normally equipped with TV, WC, air conditioning and even catering for the longer journeys.

Most people willing to travel to Cuba don’t know how large this island really is. Cuba stretches for over 1200 Km from East to West. Journeys like Havana to Trinidad take around 5 hours none stop by taxi.

Viazul although is very cheap compared to taxis it is a bit more uncomfortable. You will have to get a taxi from your hotel to the station and then get on the bus that will take you to your destination. As you can see it is not as comfortable as waiting for a taxi to take you to your next destination but is worth doing it if money is an issue.

Before you decide to go to Cuba make sure you check some few options on cheap Cuba holidays.

The Benefits Of The Razor Scooter

December 19th, 2009

The Razor scooter is a fantastic suggestion for everybody wanting to stay healthy. These days loads of individuals are office-bound and we all seem to have a decreased amount of time for simply going out for a stroll, which is the age-old remedy for gaining a few pounds. The Razor scooter can help you here.

How frequently have you thought, ‘I haven’t got time to walk’ or ‘I can’t be bothered to walk’ and then have jumped in the automobile instead? But what if you had a Razor scooter handy? You could simply scooter down to the store or the park. You could take the dog for more walks and at a quicker speed too, something your dog will surely be thankful for.

The Razor A series or its bigger siblings, the Razor Pro or Razor Cruiser, are not expensive, costing between $40 and $60, cheaper still at Amazon or eBay, yet they will quickly save you hundreds of dollars on gas. After all, starting a vehicle is usually the most costly part of a short trip.

The Razor scooter is also very versatile. Weighing in at approximately six pounds, anybody could carry it without difficulty up or down a couple of stairs or lift it in or out of the trunk of a car. But not only that, it folds up too, so that the whole scooter is only a couple of feet long by six inches high by six inches wide. It will without difficulty fit in a passage sideboard or the boot of a car.

Your Razor scooter could be utilized in numerous ways to save you money and keep you trimmer. For example, if you need a loaf of bread, you could jump on your scooter. You could take you dog to the park. You could scooter with your kids ‘in a pack’. You could put a Razor scooter in the boot of your car and scooter the last half a mile into school. And every time you get on that scooter, you are burning not gas but fat!

Think of it that way. You are saving energy and money and burning your excess calories at the same time. You are also exercising your legs and increasing your metabolism and heart rate too. That is everything the bank manager and the doctor suggested all rolled into one . And you will be in first-rank company too.

Do you know who else’s kids ride Razor scooters? Well, there’s Al Pacino’s twins for a start. Now, Al Pacino is not short of a few dollars, I’m sure, so you can be assured that he’s going to be looking for the finest for his children, isn’t he? And Lisa Kudrow and her son. And Liv and Cal, progeny of Julianne Moore and Bart Freundlich. You would be forgiven for thinking, ‘Aw well, they got theirs for free!’ and that may be true, but at approximately $40 who cares?

The benefits in saved motor fuel and additional exercise make the Razor scooter a must-have essential in my opinion. So, take another look at the Razor scooter and keep in mind that someone’s birthday is coming up in a little while.

Australia’s Unique Gold Coast

December 8th, 2009

The easternmost portion of Australia’s coastline is an area of abundant natural wonders and attractions, with many of the top-rated beaches on the continent, and worldwide, too. The Gold Coast surely stands out as one of the most frequented and spectacular places to visit on the eastern edge of Australia, and anywhere in the country at that. For many different, worthy reasons the whole Gold Coast area stands out as an alluring destination spot.

Located on the southeastern coastal strip of the state of Queensland, the Gold Coast is a short drive south of the capital city of Brisbane. Gold Coast City itself is the largest non-capital city in Australia, and the tourism industry is booming at an extraordinary rate in this swanky and hip town.

The Gold Coast melds together a perfect blend of ecologically sound attributes with a modern, developed central area. The high-rise littered strip sitting right on the water’s edge boasts many higher-end amenities and facilities, bringing all the joys of modern, 21st century life to locals and visitors; the beach strips farther removed from the center of town, as well as the tropical rainforest hinterland, are the havens of eco-tourists and day-trippers seeking a quiet and peaceful reprieve from the bustling downtown.

One of the most striking things about the Gold Coast is the maze of man-made waterways that have been ingeniously crafted out of the naturally swampy terrain. In fact, the Gold Coast has approximately nine times the amount of canals that Venice has! This preponderance of waterways means that there are many more waterfront properties than those strewn along the beacha fact that increases the appeal of the Gold Coast.

The Gold Coast is ultimately known as one of the best surf destinations in the country, and in the world for that matter. The surf breaks of greatest renown along the Gold Coast’s roughly 35 miles of beaches would have to include Kirra, Surfers Paradise, Burleigh Heads, and Palm Beach, among others. Here, the perfect wave is always just about to roll in.

Given the excellent beach conditions and the temptation to take a dip experienced by everybody, there is a professional and extremely competent Shark Control Program carried out by the state government, and it is credited with sparing beachgoers from shark attacks since the late 1950s…an eternity! Under the watchful gaze of these professionals, tourists and locals alike can take a dip without cause for concern.

Local favorite spots include such buildings as the Q1 tower, a looming edifice with the second-tallest observation deck in the southern hemisphere, giving a privileged perspective from over 750 feet in the air in all directions. Another landmark, located in the Gold Coast hinterland, is the Lamington National Park, listed by the UN to be a World Heritage Site due to its biodiversity and beauty. Finally, practically every slice of beach happens to be a landmark of its own.

All in all, the Gold Coast has plenty to offer people of all tastes-a fact that is well attested to by the 10 million visitors that come to this corner of Queensland every year. The fact that a majority of those people are themselves Australian is further proof of the fact that this is one of the most naturally pleasing and rewarding landscapes in the vast and intriguing country/continent of Australia.

Part of a successful surfboard hire network, Gold Coast Surfboards are the organisation to talk to for surfboard rentals and other surf travel services

Astonishing Geological Treasures of Cuba.

December 8th, 2009

There are many interesting places in Cuba to visit on your holidays but among the most popular is Viales Valley. This jewel of the Cuban geography combines so many natural formations. It is located in the second largest mountain range in Cuba. It is branded the best land for tobacco in the world. Its people are considered the nicest and most welcoming people in Cuba. Its rivers, forests, valleys, mountains, beaches, lakes and caves make it a must see place while on your holidays in Cuba

There the Cueva del Indio (the Cave of the Indian) is located. This is a great cave, under the sea level, is walked in two parts: the first one where you have to go down a natural stairway to reach the floor. There, the second part of the trip goes on, you have to seat in a motorboat to get to your final destination.

The silhouettes of its stalactites and stalagmites surprise the onlooker. Just at the entry of the cavern you will be able to see some of our endemic species like The Polymita Picta (a small snail with a multicolored pattern on its shell).

In the boat part of the excursion, an expert driver takes you along the stream and shows you all these amazing protruding formations, some of them with very strange shapes that look like a crocodile, a snake and even a witch. I am sure you will also discover your own shapes. It is a very tranquil ride as the steam of the watercourse is very calm which permit you to get pleasure from the beauty within this cave.

The river inside the cavern is available for tourists for about 500 meters. Although the river is a lot longer, for safety reasons is not navigable along its entire course. The whole cavern has not being completely explored because there are some areas that are completely under water.

The trip itself is incredible but you get yet more thrilled towards the end of the ride. You get to a small tropical forest where there is a little waterfall and it seems like the ferry is going to fall over. This, of course is just a joke that these naughty guides like to play on you. Your safety is a priority and they would not joke about it if they thought they were putting you in any danger.

If you are not staying in Viales Valley during your holidays in Cuba do not worry. You can still visit this cave in any of the excursions available from Havana. If you buy a holiday package please make sure to leave at least 2 or 3 nights in Havana so you can get the chance to do some interesting excursions like the one I have just recommend you. I am sure you will have a lovely time.

Before you arrange your holidays to Cuba please make sure to read on Cuba facts blog.
