The extreme sport called mountainboarding has hardly any limits. It is not like skateboarding or snowboarding where you can only do it on one type of terrain or surface, hard or snow. With one of these you can ride on more than just pavement, and the season doesn’t end when the snow melts!

I already know that this sport is awesome, but in case you don’t, let me tell you why exactly it’s a great sport to get into!

If you want to get exercise, try this sport out. The ride down is exhilarating, and will get your heart pumping. The walk up is great exercise because you have to carry the board up while walking uphill. It sure beats running on a treadmill, or using an exercise bike and going nowhere! Why stay caged up in a gym when you could go outside and enjoy some fresh air while getting a good workout? Working out doesn’t have to be boring, with mountainboarding you can have fun while you burn calories!

It is lots of fun to ride one of these boards. You’d have to be a zombie to not have a smile on your face when you reach the bottom of the hill. Your blood will certainly be pumping from the thrilling ride down.

With this sport there’s always new challenges waiting for you. If you like challenges, there is always a bigger hill or a harder trick to master. You are always challenged every time you step on your board!

Looking for a reason to spend more time outside? This sport provides an excellent reason to enjoy the great outdoors more. You get to go outside and board wherever you want. You can hit your local park, ride on some trails, dirt roads, or your backyard (if it’s sloped). With a mountainboard, the world is one big skatepark.

Unlike snow, dirt doesn’t melt. If you are a person that lives in a warmer area, you may not be able to snowboard, but you can enjoy this sport the entire year!

There you have it, five great reasons why you need to try the thrilling sport of mountainboarding.

If you want to spend more time outdoors, have more fun, challenge yourself, and make the world your all-terrain skatepark, give mountainboarding a shot! You just might like it!

The All Terrain Dirtsurfer Board

Want to get noticed? Want to try something different? Want something fun and challenging to ride? The Dirtsurfer is a two wheeled all-terrain board that is built for speed. It isnt anything like your usual skateboard or longboard. The Dirtsurfer is in a class of its own.

The Dirtsurfer is completely different to ride than a skateboard or a longboard. The design allows it to travel at extreme speeds and stay more stable than a skateboard, longboard, or mountainboard. In fact, you will never get speed wobble on a Dirtsurfer.

Flying down a road on a mountainboard or other four wheeled board can be exceptionally dangerous, because when speed wobble sets in, you can loose control and hit the hard pavement, causing bad road rashes and other bad injuries. A Dirtsurfer provides a stable ride at high speeds.

The beauty of a Dirtsurfer is that it doesnt get speed wobble. It will give you a stable ride and turning and carving on it can be done smoothly.

Riding a Dirtsurfer is a unique experience and is completely different than a skateboard, longboard, or mountainboard. There are only two wheels on it, so you dont feel any resistance from a truck, or shocks, when you are turning. Carving and turning are fluid.

You can ride the Dirtsurfer on nearly any terrain you want. Dirt roads are lots of fun to ride on, as well as dirt trails; BMX tracks, ski resorts, grass slopes, paved roads, and some have even taken them to skateparks for a new challenge.

If you are looking for an off road skateboard that you can ride on and off road, and can ride fast, the Dirtsurfer may be what you are looking for.

Skateboarding Offers Great Benefits For Kids

The sport of skateboarding is growing fast. About 30 years ago no one even paid attention to a deck with four wheels on it. These days there are skate parks being built every day all over the world, and the sport of skateboarding has reached the youngest of crowds, the kids.

Now a lot of people have skateboarders out to be the bad people, and that they do nothing but skate around businesses and wreck curbs and stuff. But this is not always true in every situation as this is why many skate parks have been built. Other might single skateboarders out as a group of people looking to be noticed.

Now in a way this may be true for people who love skateboarding, but isn’t this what we love about so many of the sports and activities we choose to participate in? We love to try new and sometimes extreme things and we love to be identified with a group of people who all enjoy similar things.

Let me get to all of the great benefits that skateboarding has to offer for the younger crowd. First off it gets them active, and not closed in to lazy habits that could lead to health conditions in the future, such as sitting around the house all day playing video games and watching television.

Now there are some minimal dangers that are involved in skateboarding, but nothing compared to long term health risks of inactivity. Skateboarding will keep you in shape, and if you start at a your age it will just benefit the physical fitness of the years that are ahead.

Skateboarding also offers a great opportunity for kids to make friends. Everyone knows that a good friend isn’t easy to come by, and that is why it is great for kids to enjoy a safe and healthy activity like skateboarding because it helps them improve social and relational skills greatly. Not every kid is cut out to play the sports that our mainstream culture glorifies, and choosing skateboarding instead can be a great alternative for many kids.

When it comes to the price of skateboarding for the young youth it is relatively inexpensive. All you need is a complete deck, which are sold at many sports stores and online stores, and a set of pads. Shoes are also optional too, you will not necessarily need them until they start doing precise tricks such as ollies and kick flips.

So forget the bad picture of skateboarding that so many people have had, and allow your children to get involved in an activity that will promote health, friendships, and identity. And plus, the more time your children are outside practicing skateboarding the more quiet time you can enjoy without them!
